Blowing in the Wind

The Hamnavoe sailings to Scrabster may have been cancelled because of bad weather but I and 7 other Singing Selkies didn’t let that prevent us bouncing about in rough waves at the slip. I counted them out and I counted them in.

Much later I had a walk round the Ness and the headwind was so strong that it was difficult to walk. The sea in the sound of Hoy was boiling. I tried to capture it but have failed to show how it looked to the eye and not to the lens. I can see why the Hamnavoe , if it actually does sail tonight will go round the calmer east side of Hoy and not attempt Hoy Sound.

Apart from the wind, it’s been a day of sunshine and showers. Erlend spent his day in bed. He is a fair weather kind of bear.
