Exit from White Horse country

On our way home we pass the Uffington White Horse.  Look closely at the far ridge and you will see part of the cut out figure.  How the creators knew what it looked like, I don't know.  It can  be seen clearly from the air, but not in their times!  The extra shows the outline, on a coaster for sale in a nearby village.
