Course book

I woke at 1.30am and didn’t really sleep thereafter though I probably had a few short dozes as I had to reset my podcasts at various times.

Consequently I was tired this morning but ploughed on with the washing and sorting after our trip. In the afternoon I realised I was probably having a bit of a reaction to yesterday’s flu jab and Covid booster as I felt so cold and achy. Instead of getting stuck in to the above book, required reading of the course I’m taking on Colonisation and Australian Literature, I finished a murder mystery by Elly Griffiths, a nice comforting read for the below par feeling.

The theme of the course is the portrayal of the Aborigine in literature and, in particular, how the colonisation of Australia is viewed by writers. I missed the first session last week and will miss another couple but I want to support the group, just getting back to meeting again after Covid.

This year I have drawn someone called Fleur East in Strictly. The only celeb I’d heard of in the line up was Tony Adams.
