Afternoon tea at Chenies Manor

This afternoon we were taken by dear friends C and H to Chenies Manor for a tour of the house and gardens followed by afternoon tea, a very belated celebration of C's Platinum birthday, much earlier in the year.  Mr MC and I fell in love with this beautiful house and its lovely gardens and the tea was delicious.  
My main picture shows one of the charming gardens where in Summer you can take afternoon tea if the weather is kind (it was too chilly for any takers today) and the extra, a collage of just a few of the many varieties of dahlias and cosmos planted throughout the gardens.  I know what I'll be planting over the next year!
