Canal thoughts

Impressed with the energy of those travelling along the canal. As we strolled alongside, a young woman was working hard, running from one lock to the next, operating the lock gates. Some skilful steering too, as 2 boats squeezed next to each other in one lock.

I peered very cautiously into the depths of the second deepest canal lock in the UK. I don't think I'm cut out for a canal boat holiday.

Today we also had a trip to Bristol. So easy and only 15 minutes on the train.
