Heights of Abraham

This is Christmas! These two days are my Christmas present to Mum.

Down in Derbyshire, at Matlock Bath. We've never been up the Heights of Abraham and this was a good opportunity. Up in the cable car ... although I wasn't too keen when it stopped for ages slowed right down for a minute!

We had a good walk around at the top, climbed the tower, took in the view, went down into the lead mine, climbed 200+ steps, had a cream tea ... what more could you ask for!

Back down again we walk along the river in Matlock Bath to a Medieval Fayre and Food Festival. Tried some lovely cheese, very different flavours.

Now we're in the hotel in Chesterfield and will be going out for a meal shortly. Another good day planned for tomorrow.
