When I was leaving Northwest Medical Center after getting my Hep B shot, I was struck by the strong roots of this very old tree I passed on my way back to my car.  Somehow mono seemed right for presenting it to you.  After I left I drove over to Safeway, to pick up some produce and use my Fresh Bucks as the month is ending..

The back and leg pain are making me feel rather frail today, so I'm having a quiet afternoon.  Sylvie is at a place where, if she's not sleeping, she wants me to be holding her. It's nice.
