bee safe on the web!

i was getting something from the shed when i heard a buzzing at the window as a bumble bee was trying to get out. it flew down and brushed a web and a HUGE spider shot out and tried to snare it with its front legs.
i rushed to get my camera and was only just in time to blip their final battle - the spider did grab the bee but it was able to escape and fly out the door.
fascinating reaction on my part as a bit of me wanted to see what would happen, but also i wanted to interfere and save the bee.
an exciting start to the long weekend!
