High Jump!

Was fed up so cousin hubby & I headed out for lunch. We thought we would try Kilmartin Museum as they always did a nice soup & sandwich combo. Got there and the soup was something called celaric or something, sounded like a disease! whats wrong with lentil? Then looked at the rest of the menu, goats cheese some sort of bread that sounded like a swearword and God knows what else (none of which looked appetising)
So we upsticks & left, then crossed over to the hotel. Was led into the dining room , took one look at the menu yet more bloody goats cheese! whats with this goats stuff? , red snapper! £13!!! so we upped sticks from there too!
Next stop the Smiddy in Lochgilphead always reliable but was choka blocked! so finally ended up in Ardrishaig at the rumbling tum and do you know what? Great fresh home made soup, Stornoway black pudding...bliss and a lot cheaper than the first two.
What sort of clientele are they aiming for. Needless to say at lunchtime and Kilmartin had only 6 customers! Ive been there and seen it hoaching... Im hoping the caterers will take the hint! They did have a good selection of deserts & cakes though! As for the hotel!! Waaaay too expensive esp for lunch! I would have needed a mortgage! They should all be for the high jump...just like Abbie in the photo. Thank God for the Rumbling Tum.
Good fair, good company and good prices.
Happy blipping all
