Under the bridge
Old railway loop, deep
green foliage. Light peeks, then
recedes under bridge.
Home-Start day today, had a lovely walk, it started out misty but turned beautiful. Clear skies and warm. When we reached the old railway line it was cool and dark with that lovely dappled light.
Made it home just in time to grab some toast for lunch and then head back out to get Ben.
He arrived at the car with only one shoe on, this is fairly standard but not usually something that heralds a Good Night. He's actually been OK so far, he's tired at the moment, not sure if it's last week's cold still or just school in general that is wearing him out?? We popped to the opticians to collect his repaired glasses. They said they would apply for a second pair for him if I bring in some paperwork about his additional needs but they didn't sound too hopeful.
When I got home I had an email from the local authority saying that they approved my request for more support and a monthly overnight respite placement which is pretty huge news for us. It's still early days, there's currently no spaces in our chosen facility and there'd have to be a lot of training on the diabetes side etc but it's given a sense of hope for the future. So today is a win :-)
