Fallen Beech Tree

It must be several years now since a huge beech tree was blown down and crasshed onto the granite rocks at the base of Sheepstor, in West Devon. The tree splintered and broke in many places, and was a sorry sight. Over time the tree has been degraded further and is slowly being absorbed back into the moor. This is one of the largest remaining sections, which I thought deserved a photograph.
