The long haul home

I’m up early doors for the drive to Minneapolis. Next stop is REI to use up a voucher I’ve had since 2019 and to get some good outdoors kit. I went in for a bamboo cutlery set and a rollable water flask, but came out with cutlery, a collapsible silicon cup, a breathable rain jacket, and a mustard thick organic cotton work shirt. The power of the discount rail.

Then to the airport. Return my rental car. Settle in at Peoples Organic for lunch (extra).

A short flight to Chicago and quite a reasonable wait. Although, I spend a fair amount of time working out how to get to their “international” terminal, which is a bus journey away.

Through security, again, and I install myself in the BA lounge. Good food, good drink, comfortable chairs. Crap WiFi.

No upgrade for me this time, and not much sleep on the overnight flight (extra).
