Ladybird on Fennel

Today's the day ......................... to eat out

Because it's the weekend - we're having a barbeque tonight.

It'll just be the two of us but as I type this, Will is out there, cooking the lamb steaks over the charcoal.  I suppose we're just trying to prolong the 'eating outside' season - even if we will be under cover when we do eat.  I'm not ready to succumb to autumn just yet.

Neither was the ladybird above.  It was feasting on the aphids on the fennel seedheads - and hopefully enjoying them as much as, I'm sure we will, our barbeque .........................
