Champagne and a rabbit
Heavy rain in the night although a mostly dry today. The champagne area covers miles of the land. We stopped at a pleasant Aire beside a canal for coffee and croissant, (Lidl sell very good croissants) and a wander and came across this hanging sign.
The aim is to gradually head NW towards Calais for the ferry on Tuesday. We are meandering through villages rather than busy roads, people wave in return to ours which is reassuring about life in general.
This evening we are camped outside the France Passion place watching a donkey, two horses and a sheep. A white rabbit is hopping around the area looking very at home, it does look cute.
The reason we are outside the FP site: we couldn’t see the sign to say which gate way to open, there are a few house here with large closed gates. When out walking later we found it, although decided to stay where we are. It is very quiet.
