Clarinet Day

She had Clarinet Day today. She loved it. Her new teacher is the NYO clarinet tutor and she's enjoyed more opportunity to work with her. They had an RAM clarinet tutor too who is excellent. Less excellent was the kid who passed out in their breath control workshop.

She called me just after tea in tears and a bit overwhelmed, obviously very tired and unable to get any space or quiet in the house. They were due to go to Cathedral but after talking to her House Parent, we agreed it would be better for her to have some time out instead. The juniors and choristers don't go anyway, so it was no inconvenience but very helpful for Katie. I appreciated them paying attention to what she needed .
