Rangihaeata

After breakfast with Esme ( extra toast and bananas plus a lot of drawing), she went off to nursery and we went to Rangihaeata - low tide and the most extraordinary expanse ever.  Shimmering sea, soft sand and a myriad of wading birds.  We had it to ourselves.
A bit of gardening in the afternoon - lawn mowing, weeding, general hacking back and then more Esme time: a chat in the avo tree, a clamber on the pirate ship, some colouring in, and large baked potatoes for supper.
