sunny but chilly

We arrived at the lodge after a longer than expected journey because of a road accident and soon the prosecco was flowing! The lodge is all wood, and many of the ceiling beams are whole tree trunks. It is very cosy, which is just as well as it rained hard all day and only stopped well into the evening.

We have enough food to last a month! Curry, pavlova and banoffee pie, followed by a quiz, and bed - for me anyway, at midnight.

Slept well except for bad dreams!! woke up to sun thank goodness, although the wind is chilly and it is only 11 degrees. out for a recce - the pool and gym look good and there is a small loch with activity area. one of the girls wanted to go 'zorbing' but it is fully booked. There must be lots of weddings here judging by the floral arch in the photo. the restaurant is behind, and we have booked the corner table by the windows for the big birthday dinner tomorrow evening.

gym, swim and sauna this afternoon, more prosecco and the hot tub before dinner, and pizza and the rest of the banoffee pie for dinner.

the main reception/lounge area is the only place with wi-fi so I have replied to all yesterday's comments but don't have time to catch up with any journals. I am already feeling a bit anti-social so had better get back to the crowd.

If I can get a decent but fun hot tub shot I will post it tomorrow in my folio!!!
