Craving

For some time, a group of us have been working on a fundraising proposal for some freshwater conservation work in transboundary landscapes. We have been working closely with implementing partners to design all aspects of the project. Today another organisation wrote to us to try and become part of the consortium, so we convened to decide how to respond. ‘We are craving for your understanding,’ they wrote.

At lunchtime I was shamed by the waitress for ordering a pineapple juice. Perhaps she expected me to select another fruit.
