Northern Banksia
Banksia ashbyi is flowering nicely in Kings Park, Perth, where I photographed it today. According to this information from the botanists at Kings Park, it flowers most of the year. It grows only in Western Australia, from around Geraldton 400 km north of here for another 1,000 km or so. It is named after Edwin Ashby who collected the first botanical specimen in the Geraldton area.
