Diary of an Edinburgher

A visit and visitors

A dreich morning, though it did brighten up later. JR took the car, and just as well she did, as she forgot that it was Pilates today, which is later than the gym, and we were due round at Mary’s for a visit.

We were a wee bit late, but no worries. We had home made rock cakes with our cuppa. But we had to be back at a certain time for Pip, who was coming to visit, so it was a shorter visit than anticipated. Pip’s mum was busy for the morning. Actually, till late afternoon, but we’re happy to have him here - he’s no bother.

In the afternoon, once the sun had come out, we all went for a walk round the graveyard, then JR took the boys further round the lanes, while I came back and watched ‘ A Place in the Sun’.

Texts from Hazel by the pool - 27° there. Our pals on the Scotland tour would be lucky to have half that temperature, but they sent photos of yesterday’s trip to Tobermory in the sunshine - so far so good!
