The day the snow …

….. really set in properly, nearly all over the South Island and some of the North as well.

It was amazing to see the amount that had fallen when I looked outside first thing. I always get a buzz to see it falling too, as it did until about midday.

We walked up Tobins Track this afternoon, accompanied by daughter A. for some of the way. It was so wonderful to see the Wakatipu Basin spread out before us, draped in snow.
Yes it was slippery coming back down, but it didn’t matter! Getting out there enjoying it was wonderful.
