Bowling in the rain

It was raining when we got to bowling this morning which meant that most of us didn't play (F and I were willing to but no-one else wanted to join us).  The final of the yearly shield competition had to take place today as it was the last day of the season.

The finalists gamely played in their waterproofs, women against men, the rest of us watching and cheering from the covered balcony by the green. It was a very close match with the women winning in the end.

We'll miss bowling, it's a great Friday activity with lots of laughs as they're an amusing bunch of people.

Afterwards I had my flu vaccination which was a good job done.
