Conker time

I went to art this morning then this afternoon had a walk around the village before working in the garden.

There's a lovely big horse chestnut tree near the castle and there were plenty of conkers underneath.  I liked this one peeping out of what looks like a spiky helmet.

Conkers are a really autumnal sight and bring back memories of threading them on strings and having conker fights.
