Social Sunday

We got all the household chores done after breakfast, then went out for a light lunch before picking up the open home signs.  That done, we drove over to the North Shore to The Source bulk food store, a sister store to the one that closed recently at Eastridge.  To our dismay, the store in Milford is also closing.  We feel so sorry for the owners, but they said that their business model just isn’t sustainable in the current economic climate.  We purchased the few items we’d gone there for and wished them well in whatever they do next.

Shopping done, we drove further up the North Shore to Torbay, where a friend from Napier is staying while she visits her grandchildren.  We had a most enjoyable afternoon and evening with them and even learned to play the Uno card game, which caused great merriment.  We left just after 9pm and were home at 10pm.

As we walked back to the car we saw these colourful outdoor tables and seats outside an organic food store.  They looked very cheerful in the sunshine.
