Camping
After last nights early night we were up relatively early for a campfire cooked breakfast and very nice it was to, with the sun shining and the birds singing, all well in our world. Once we were full of tea or coffee and cake we set off for a walk around the park. Lots of VW’s and campers, possibly more than I have seen at previous Oktoberfests or Spring Camps, good to see though. Aside from conversation around our camp area all you can really hear is the sound of running water from the River Dart to the east of our site or the stream to the west which is around twelve feet away from where I sit writing this.
After an afternoon of relaxing we had a cheeseburger each before setting off to the main venue. We loitered outside the tent before settling to watch/dance/listen to the main event. The ‘Bootleggers’ didn’t disappoint, brilliant to listen to and great to watch, their two hour set had the place bouncing.
It turned cold around 11:00pm as they finished so we headed back down to the campsite for one last beer and a coffee before turning in.
Cold doesn’t begin to cover it!!
