“It’s A Kind Of Magic”
Those that follow my Blip Will know that I am a rugby fanatic supporter. Rugby at all levels, grassroots through to elite, the Lions etc, Union though not league.
I spent some of my early years growing up in Sunbury and the nearest club was Harlequins, first at Twickenham itself and then The Stoop, so that’s where I went.
Over the years it’s been a bit up and down, in 2006 I watched them play in the Championship out at Kenwyn near Truro on muddy pitch. Last season I watched them play poorly up until Christmas, the coach left, they played an utterly astonishing style of rugby and beat the top two in play offs to become champions.
Tonight, trailing 0-21 they played the most complete forty minutes of rugby in the second half to completely dominate Bristol, winning 52-24.
Today’s photograph is of Joshua and I enjoying hospitality package at Harlequins a couple of seasons ago. It wasn’t a cheap night but I loved every minute of it including watching Quins beat Leicester Tigers whilst sitting only a few feet from Eddie Jones (England Manager)
