Diary of an Edinburgher

An old friend

A bit of a lazy morning for me - reading the Sunday papers (on my iPad) in bed. And if I get stuck on Twitter, an hour can go by before I notice the time.

JR did a bit of extra exercise by walking to and from Waitrose after the gym. That day she reached 20,000 steps has set a target! She had also cleaned the bay windows by the time I got up.

After she had taken Archie for a big walk, she then went into town to return an item, and did not return home empty handed.

I did get organised to take Archie out in the afternoon. We walked by Lutzi’s house. We haven’t seen her for ages. Lutzi famously barked at all dogs passing her gate, but for some reason, never barked at Archie. Lutzi was walking back indoors as we reached her gate, so I called her - she kept walking. Her owner came out to confirm that she’s deaf now. Well, she is thirteen. Look at her wee face!

We popped in to visit Dougal and his mum. Dougal gets VERY excited with visitors, and I love to see him getting frisky with Archie, and Archie doesn’t mind!!

The travellers have finished their Scotland tour, and are back in Edinburgh to be piped in to dinner tonight at the hotel. We’ll hear all about the trip tomorrow.
