Reservoir...

... to the rescue when I get to the end of the day and realise I haven't got a blip! Took this early evening when I gave Ali a little walk.

A day remembering a friend from the school gates, not a close friend as such, but one I've known for nearly 40 years. Our girls are the same ages, so went through school together. She died yesterday. One of the most caring, kindest people you could meet. Described as "One of life's treasures'. She spent many years supporting terminally ill patients, was director of the local Hospice charity. Came out of retirement to administer the Covid jabs, only to herself have her life cut short by Cancer. One of her daughters gave birth to twins only a couple of months ago, the other daughter getting married next week. They sent her off in her Mother of the Bride outfit. It all feels so cruel and unfair.

Added an extra of our group picture from yesterday. Katrina, the birthday girl with the pink hair, her sister next to her with the red hair, Katrina's daughter far left, and all the Grenville Grannies. We've known each other since our children were in play school. Many years of memories. Sad times, and wonderful party times, one of us widowed, a few with health issues, but still we manage to have good times. I'm crouched down because I am taller than all of them and felt like a giant stood alongside!
