Dipper in the park

The Dipper is back in our local park. So pleased to see one again.

Caught in a short sharp rain shower then it was  sunshine.

We had some fun with the Merlin Bird ID  app linked to eBird from Cornell
-it has Sound ID feature which listens to the bird calls and helps with ID. It found 9 birds in 10 minutes icluding one we had missed but of course it missed the silent ones.  VERY good for mental health.

A bit better today after feeling very strange yesterday after Pfizer Covid Jag on Saturday.  Saturday night I was a bit hyper and difficult to get to sleep. Sunday a bit shakey and a slight fever (temp up 0.7C from my very normal norm) but we were busy having yet another go at discarding things that I have hoarded for years so it was lots of sorted in reaching into cupboards etc. Eventually I just started dropping things including old VHS tapes, a tower of which toppled over in the utility room one disappeared behind the washing machine

Sunday evening we watched the end of Karen Pirie on ITV  We liked Karen and Mint and in the end thought they were a bit of an antidote to all the samey Police dramas of recent times.  We hope there will be more one day.
