Kelly’s Cat
One of Kelly’s Cats on Union Bridge. I think they actually represent leopards, not cats, but never mind. The cats are now surrounded by bars intended to raise the height of the parapet on the bridge.
The bridge is quite high above the ground level below, as it passes over a busy road, and less busy railway line. The ground level below the bridge is the original ground level before the elevated sections of Union Street were built. The building of Union Street transformed the “feel” of this part of the town.
It has been a mostly crear sunny day. There was quite a strong, and cool breeze for much of the day.
