Angels Rest
Our first real hike this spring was to Angels Rest in the Columbia River Gorge. We hiked up about 2.3 miles and climbed to 1600 feet. I am really out of shape compared to last year. It took a great deal of effort to get to the top but the views made it all worthwhile. The picture is looking west down the Columbia River toward the Pacific Ocean.
First hikes of the season are always difficult for us. I bought 2 sandwiches to eat at the summit but left one in the store. Coming down, I slipped on a rock and sprained my ankle. Just glad to be home and will take it easy the rest of the weekend.
