King's Caves
After a hearty hotel breakfast, we set out for a nice walk to King's Caves, limestone caves on the West coast of Arran. These caves are associated in legend with King Robert the Bruce (and the story of the spider) although the historical accuracy of these stories is questionable. We had a lovely walk, playing A-Z (naming birds starting with each letter) and link words as we went and generally enjoying exploring.
We went to Cafe Thyme for a lovely lunch, before returning to Brodick via the South of the island, enjoying the views and occasionally stopping for a photo.
To round the day off, we played Crazy Golf (MrsCyclops won), went swimming, played Carcassonne (MrsCyclops won) and had dinner together.
We're all ready for our beds tonight!
