There is only one rule

Which is that the cat I’m looking after is not allowed in the bedroom I am in.  Anyone who has a cat will instantly know that the cat therefore wants to go into the bedroom more than anything else, and uses all his speed, intelligence and persistence to get in there. And here he is, on my bed. 
He’s a lovely purry cat, and he sits on my lap a lot, which is nice considering he doesn’t know me. And he is the reason I’m having this lovely holiday in Cornwall, because I’m here to look after him.
Later I was talking to my cousin on the phone - the sister of the cousin whose house I’m in. She said the rule is because they have a visitor who is very allergic to cats, who stays in the room.  So I must redouble my efforts  to outwit him and keep him out.
Aside from that, I had a beautiful sunny walk along the river from Devoran , with a friend who moved down here about three years ago.
