The Hop Garden

Although dormant in winter, this is the hops garden at the side of the micro-brewery where we are staying for the next couple of days. There are four types of hops grown in this garden. Hops are an ingredient in the beer making process. In the summer the plants easily reach all the way to the top wires. The varieties grown are Fuggle, Leggett, Golding and Styrian Golding. The names almost sound like they belong in a story about big eared elves.
