I Love Decay
I Love Decay
Off to Cottenham today to the Pharmacist (*) for our Covid 19 booster. We parked outside Sue’s sister Phelicity’s house and walked to the Pharmacists. We were both given the Spikevax - Moderna vaccine. Judging from a few friends that have had this vaccine I am expecting a headache tomorrow.
Back to Phelicity’s, we stopped for a cup of tea and a chat. We sat in her summerhouse and had a very pleasant afternoon. I even had a biscuit :)
Coming out of the summer house I noticed this old window frame that Phil had saved from the ‘house next door’ when it was being modernised a few years ago. The weather had brought out some beautiful textures and decay. I just had to snap a shot on the iPhone.
(*) I wanted to know when Chemists started being called a ‘Pharmacist’. Well google is so handy, and it appears that it was 1953 when the profession changed its name. The fact we (I) still call the Shop a chemist is probably wrong. In fact the shop in Cottenham was called Well Pharmacy. Also, you might like to know, the Old Chemist in Waterbeach is now a cafe called ‘The Pharmacy’
