Fifties Fabulousness

I adore these pictures - they are of my mum when she was still in her late teens or early twenties in the mid to late 1950's. The picture on the left is of her and a friend (my mum is the one on the left) on a Scottish beach resplendent in their fabulously stylish summer outfits. The picture on the right is her posing on a sea wall in what looks like a Mediterranean setting but I'm reliably informed that the island in the background is the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides. She just looks so delightfully young and carefree. Love ya mum!
