A Monarch Morning

Yesterday we had a wee taste of Indian Summer, just gorgeous.  This morning, not so much and rain is on the way this afternoon.  But the Monarchs still came out to play on the asters.  They should be on their way south very soon.  I've added three more monarchs in the extras.

If you want to know more about Indian, or Second, Summer.  Here's a link to the Farmer's Almanac, a publication we always had in the house growing up.  It was first published in 1792 and New Englanders have been consulting it ever since.  My grandpa always kept a copy near his bed.
