A Very Tired Bee

I went out to pick a few of the purple asters and found a very tired bee slowly wandering around on one.  Then I saw two more in a similar state.  No pollen laden sacks on the back legs either.  These little guys are nearing the end of their busy lives but haven't quite given up yet.  I often find "expired" bees on flowers in the garden and when I do I give them a proper burial.  We owe so much to these wee creatures.  Gift#284: bees.
