A Purple Patch

This afternoon I spent time with a community group who are trying to work up a record of the biodiversity of their parkland. Today’s focus was fungi and we saw lots of really good stuff - Fragrant Funnel, Giant Puffball, Porcelain Fungus, White Saddle and a whole host of Brittlegills. There were astonishing swathes of this Purple Jellydisc over the stumps of some felled trees.
