Autumn larches

Above Ovronnaz today we had a great walk, despite the grey weather and a bit of rain, taking the Tour de Grand Chateau route. The colours were spectacular, especially towards the end of the walk when the sun came out. At one point we saw over 20 male Bouquetin (Ibex) on a high scree slope (see extra) with huge horns. It was hard to get a photo as it started raining at this point.We could also hear Black Grouse calling to each other and saw two interacting in the same tree. See extra for the silhouette of them, not a great photo but was interesting to see.
