Social Sunday

We met friends at Bodrum Café in Mission Bay for brunch and spent nearly two hours eating, chatting and drinking coffee.  It was really lovely to catch up and set the world to rights - wish it was that easy!!  After we parted company Mr MacD and I drove into Parnell to deliver the last of the leaflets, which didn’t take long, then we went to the supermarket to purchase one or two items we needed.  We then drove home and picked Mum up to take her for a drive while we (the Royal we, it’s Mr MacD who does the running around!) gathered up the open home signs.  On the way home we bought Mum a boysenberry Trumpet (like a cornetto), which she loves, and which she enjoyed.  After dropping her back at her village, we sat and relaxed for half an hour, then went over and had a drink with her.  We took some thinly-sliced bread and ham that we’d bought for her, which she was very pleased about.

As I walked along a street in Parnell I saw these very colourful Mesembryanthemum Pigface (at least according to Mr Google that’s what they are). There is a very weird plant in a pot at Mum’s retirement village.  We have no idea what it is, but I’ve taken two photos of it in case anyone recognises it.  And I couldn’t resist the sunset.
