Titan

A great day today; lots of discussions about the houses we saw yesterday and trying to work out what we would need to do before our house goes on the market.

Jane's sister and husband enjoyed their party last night and today we walked into town along the water meadows. Stuart and I had a drink in The Old Vine while Sara and Jane looked round the market and shops; they did not get far so Stuart and I got to look round the market too.

This is a Leyland Titan bus that used to run routes around Winchester for King Alfred Motor Services. I tried to get a shot of the driver who looked as though he was a member of ZZ Top. The original King Alfred Motor Services company started operating its first bus service in Winchester in 1922. Throughout the decades they invested in modern vehicles, painted in green and cream livery with the emblem of the King Alfred statue. King Alfred Motor Services operated its last bus service on Saturday 28th April 1973.

We arrived home to Sunday lunch cooked by Adam, delicious.

Now I have some catching up to do but I might need a snooze first.
