Ready to go
Phew.. it's been a long day.
Left to collect them from their sleepover at 7am - collected two happy by shattered boys. They can't tell me what time they went to sleep, but I heard a rumour it was about midnight (!!!). Poor loves. They got there at 7pm, played in the softplay (where the sleepover was being held), had chips and hot dogs, then played some more. Anyway, we went straight to stamford, boulstered by toast at Granny and Grandpa's house with the aim of getting ready for rugby - against Stamford. The eldest soldiered on so well, very happy to go. The youngest said no thank you - and when he says no, he means no. So after a little bit more play, I took him home.
The youngest did his homework as soon as we got home, then settled down to play, and aside from watching some tv, has played for the rest of the day.
Huge fry-up for lunch kept everyone going.
Today I'm grateful for:
Tea (coffee) and toast at Stamford - we all needed the little pick me up
Lovely long afternoon walk in the sun
Very early night for the boys, they were straight to sleep about an hour and a half before normal bedtime!
