A day at the beach

Yesterday l got up far too early and went off to Titchwell nature reserve on the north Norfolk coast.  I have started going out on these excursions once a month, not because l am a birder but because l like to go out in the country - and especially to the sea.  The north Norfolk coast plays host to lots of migratory birds; they settle down noisily on any watery bits, on the grassy banks and amongst the reeds which grow so prolifically in this area.
These birds are Brent geese, they have flown 3,000 miles from Siberia and will over winter here.
In extra a flock of between 800 and 1,000 golden plover and in the collage the white bird is a little egret, not sure of the other two - l await the expert advise of Iain@creel.
