Life after Covid

Met a woman in the swimming pool this afternoon that I had not seen for a long time. We discuss how the world has changed post Covid.
 
She faces a moral dilemma. Recently diagnosed with gallstones she knows the waiting list for NHS is very long so she looked at private medicine.
 
The cost shocked her. She gives financial support to her children and grandchildren and she said there was no way she could spend that amount of money on herself.
 
What would you do?
