Mount Stephen Hall

This is Mount Stephen Hall in the Fairmont Banff Springs. It is a popular location for wedding receptions and other banquets. This is the same location where the stocks where from my photo a few days ago. The high ceiling with oak beams, stone floor, and cathedral window with stained-glass crests, truly reflect the style of a baronial castle, while the soft amber lighting creates the perfect atmosphere in the evening. With the suits of armor, swords, high backed chairs and rustic paintings in this room really makes you feel like you are in a castle. As it gets darker outside this room is more beautiful, the only light being cast from the chandeliers. I would like to shoot portraits in here more often but it is usually occupied and during the day the lighting is a bit boring.
