Icicles on the Hike up Tunnel Mountain

Went for a hike up Tunnel Mountain today. We packed some fruit and hot apple cider to enjoy when we got to the top. This photo was shot on film and one of the only ones that turned out that day. The other good one was Mitch smoking his pipe but I am sure I will have another opportunity to get that shot. Tunnel Mountain was originally named Sleeping Buffalo because it looks like a buffalo lying down from a distance. While they were building the CPR through the Rockies they contemplated building a tunnel through the mountain. They instead decided to go around but the name Tunnel Mountain stuck even though the tunnel was never made. I personally like Sleeping Buffalo better. Got a few shots of the view from Tunnel but the exposure meter was reading a bit off so they didn't really turn out. We will have to practice more with the film camera and take a back up photo on one of our digital cameras just in case!
