Helpless!

Down to Strichen Park this morning again to walk the dogs and feed the cygnets.
No sign of the adult swans at first.
But, I saw two swans coming out of the sky and landing on the lake.
I was pretty excited at first as I thought it was the parent swans returning.
However, the adult swans took up a rather aggressive stance and started chasing the two cygnets as you can see in the extra.
One of the cygnets took to the sky to get away and landed further down the lake.
It may be the parent birds trying to encourage their young to be more independent or it could be strangers trying to scare them away.
I wish there was something we could do to help but ….
