Kingcup

Also called the Marsh Marigold, it is blooming in what used to be a pond (before our last dog tore the liner).

I have spent most of the day at home, planting runner beans, weeding the vegetable bed and picking the first rhubarb of the year to make a crumble for supper. Then I found a perfect spot for birdwatching, a mossy stump by the stream from where I could see a mistle thrush on her nest. I also saw a female blackcap. Hours passed.... but then it is a holiday weekend.
