Diary of an Edinburgher

We visit the lions again

Archie had a peaceful night, and I got up at 7am to give him his first dose of the new pill regime. A little blob of peanut butter helped it slip down no bother. But just before JR left for the gym, she brought me a pill… yes, he’d pretended to swallow it, but made the mistake of not spitting it out in a secret place.

Pip came to stay for the morning because his mum was going into town for a job interview. He likes to prop himself up on the back of the sofa and keep an eye out for her coming back.

Once Pip and his mum had gone, we took a walk down to the Meadows to see the pride of lions statues, it was busy with kids climbing all over them, despite the notices not to…

We walked along and found a spare bench in the sunshine. It was a glorious day - my duffle coat got its first outing, though I didn’t really need it.

The others went for a longer walk, JR pausing to give Archie his mid afternoon pill, but I jumped on a handy bus home. Bumped into Dougal and his mum on the way home - always a bonus.
